The Lebong Race Course is about 8 km from Darjeeling. It was laid out in 1885 as a parade ground. This race course is called as the smallest in the World with a complete lap measuring 480 yards. It is also the highest in the world at 1809 metres, Lebong Race Track is the smallest and highest racetrack in the world. Races are made regularly under the management of the Gymkhana Club.
